MERCER COUNTY:

Mercer County also designates several locations as warming sites, where people can escape the cold. Those include municipal senior centers, neighborhood community centers and the nine Mercer County Library System Branches.

 All residents are welcome to use these sites; older residents and individuals with chronic health conditions are especially encouraged to use these sites during the day to find comfort. Depending on driver availability, TRADE may be able to assist with transportation to and from these sites. Residents are encouraged to call (609) 530-1971 if they anticipate requiring transportation assistance.

Morris County

 Both locations are in Morristown:  Town Hall Senior Center 3rd Floor – Mon. – Fri., 8:30a – 4:30p and Speedwell Fire House 24/7.

Union County

 Ongoing program through County Human Services –  “Code Blue”.   Temps below 25 degrees, Individuals are taken to local shelters, Evening hours only. 

Linden

Linden Public Library – 31 East Henry Street.  Hours – Monday – Thursday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.,
    Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Closed Sunday.

Linden Multi-Purpose Center – 1025 John Street.  Hours Monday – Friday – 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.,
  Sunday 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

John T. Gregorio Recreation Center – 330 Helen Street.  Hours Monday – Friday – 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Closed Weekends.
